Why there is no single price for everyone

Two owners can ask for a “guest house website” and get very different work: one has three rooms and ready photos, the other has two buildings, a restaurant and texts that have not been written yet. That is why the price follows from the property, not from the word “website”. This article has no figures, because they depend on your case and quickly go out of date.

What goes into the price

Rooms and services

The more room types, services and pages there are, the more content has to be arranged and maintained. The page for each room usually shows photos, amenities and a “from” price.

Photos

Real photos matter most to the guest. Ask whether the work includes taking photos or preparing yours, or whether you are expected to supply them.

Texts

Who writes the descriptions of the property, the rooms and the services, and in which languages? Texts that are not ready often slow the work down.

Domain and address

Your own domain has separate terms: who registers it, whose name it is in and how much renewal costs. Ask who owns it.

Languages

Every additional language is additional text that has to be reviewed and maintained.

Enquiries

An enquiry form is simpler than an online reservation system with availability and payment. Judge what you really need from the start.

Maintenance

Prices, photos and seasonal offers change. Ask who makes the changes and how much each change costs.

How long it takes

The timeframe depends mostly on how quickly you gather the materials. When the photos and texts are ready, the work goes ahead without interruption; when they are being waited for, everything takes longer. So ask not only “how long will it take”, but “what do you need from me and when”. How to prepare the materials is described in a separate guide.

What to watch out for in a quote

  • What exactly is included: number of pages, languages, photos, texts, domain.
  • Who owns the domain and the content if you decide to change supplier.
  • Whether there is an annual maintenance fee and what it covers.
  • Whether you will be able to change texts, photos and prices yourself.
  • How long it takes to prepare your materials.
  • Whether there is a draft and a preview before anything becomes public.
  • Promises such as “first place on Google” or “a full house”: nobody can guarantee them.

How to compare two quotes

Ask for both quotes on the same points: pages, languages, photos, texts, domain, maintenance and the price of changes. A cheaper quote that does not include texts or a domain may turn out more expensive. Prices are comparable only when the scope is the same.

How it works with ISKA Website

ISKA Website is offered as an individual quote according to the property, without a standard price. It shows the rooms with photos and a “from” price (at your choice), the services, the gallery and an enquiry form. You maintain it yourself through ISKA: by draft, with publishing and returning to the previous version. Your own domain is agreed for the specific property.

How to request a quote

Prepare the number of rooms, the photos you have, the languages you need and whether you have a domain. With these, the quote will be more accurate and faster.
